I’m selling my Scott Pedersen SE composite brakes (front and rear). They came off a 1992 Scott Super Evolution.

Very tempted. Do the fronts self energise like the rears or work like a normal cantilever, always wondered if they did because stopping power should mint

Yes I believe they do but happy to be corrected by another forum member. They are powerful brakes for sure

Yes they use a reverse helicoil from the rear, that is why the Suntour ones are marked rear only.

I have some here. IIRC with the Scott ones you can switch the spiral part between left-right arms to in effect convert them from front to rear. The Suntour ones are sealed and you can't take them apart.

They also look like they would solve the major problem with the Suntour ones - that of threading of the cable bolt arm as the bolt goes all of the way through. Cracking brakes though. I loved my Suntour SE back in the day.
