I buildt this bike as a showbike for the norwegian importer.
I bought the frame from them and put buildt it with top of the line components.
It was displayed at Scott-cup that year (1997)

Full XTR, Race face on the rest.
Rock shox super de luxe/DHO custom trippleclamp fork.
Hope hydaulic brakes.
3 spokes custom painted Spengle carbon wheels.
Hutchinson tires/tubes.

Picture was taken a month ago. Still in mint condition

It is... But still It's a very fast bike. I made top speed of 93 km/h down the old bobsledtrack near Holmenkollen in Norway with it...
 
Ah yes! the big saddle craze of 98!
I thought my tioga dh saddle was the best, even though I destroyed a syncros titanium seatpost due to the added leverage! Scott took it to another level
Love how you can adjust the swingarm length on these bikes and the fact they have more adjustments than anyone knew what to do with.
The Euro's led the way in crazy downhill bikes in the 90's and this is a prime example.
Nice original bike and I hope you keep it that way!
 
this is a crazy toy mate ;) I would race a hill with that ..and so a saddle is a big help.
 
The wheels was put on here just to make the bike look more extreme.
I also had another set with normal wheels to put on. Thoose was stolen some ten years ago. The idea with the long to post seat was so that the rider could move without getting of the seat when putting presure to the front wheel. I haven't had it out for years now on a hill.
Love the looks of it. Oldschool DH but killer look...
