I think more stringent legislation needs to be put in place quickly to sort things out, as someone with bad nerves it is terrifying being buzzed past at 15mph by a silent scooter on a non cyclepath.

The bulk of users are already ignoring the existing legislation, as in your scenario above.

Therefore, I do not foresee that creating yet more legislation for them to ignore will have any beneficial effect.

If the current legislation is not being enforced rigorously the creation of yet more legislation that won't be enforced isn't going to help.

Oh come on, It's no reason to ban things.. i'm sure county lines gangs use mobile phones too

I never mentioned banning them - just a big plus to criminals these days……as many can be easily tweeked to get up to speeds approaching 80kms ++
