Why, of course! I still need to get end caps for the bars and a WTB Velociraptor for the rear but otherwise I'm going going gone. I'm particularly happy about scoring the Noleen. When I had my original Tomato back in 1998 I ran a Girvin Vector on it. I loved the fork, was meh about the elastomers, and disliked the permanent stem. This one is so much better on all counts.

Here is the headset in question. Sideways, most likely:

Hi all new to the site.
I also have a Schwinn, it's a rocket 88 stage 4 with an ICBM aheadset. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any of the previous years headsets that were purchased. Any ideas ?

Thanks

I might have a used one knocking about somewhere in my bike bits boxes. If that would work for you?
@syncrosfan
I've been scouring the internet for a part for a 2000 Schwinn rocket 88 headset.
Specifically the bottom race that sits between the ICBM bearing and the fork
(see pic.) and you came up in the google search. I'm just a bit south of you in San Diego.
i have everything, but this piece has a crack, and i need a new one. any help would be huge.
please let me know if you might have this, as it's the only thing holding me up on getting the bike back on the trails.
thank you so much

Re:

Managed to find the headset. Attached are some pics. As you can see I modified the top-cap from its original state (machined off some material to fit in a custom modified Girvin fork upper). The bearings should still work though.
Hi. I’m now in this situation where I need an integrated headset.
I have a schwinn homegrown 1999-2001… anyone have this headset for sale?

You can get an adapter off eBay to run a more commonly used bearing, I’ve got one on mine and it’s a really good fit
