Well done a bit more tonight, rear xtr mech is on along with xtr brakes, and wheels with hope skewers. :)

looks good. These are really underrated. I was tempted to buy this but have to many all ready lol

Hi thanks for your replies, I couldn't really turn it down for the price I got it for. When I saw it I did some research on these frames and like you say, they are really underrated. The reviews were all excellent, as good as some really exapensive frames ( even though these weren't that cheap).

It's a 1998 model and you must have some good eyes, you are dead on with the size, it is 19" and alloy

Your thread caught my eye, it being about a Moab. Not a lot of dialog on this site for that bike. Hence I was curious.

I'm pretty familiar with that bike. I own two, both 98s. One, a Moab 1 ChroMoly 21" was purchased new in 99. I still ride and race it. The other, likewise a 98 21 steel frame, was headed for the scrap heap last Christmas. I bought it for the frame and it became my 2nd resurection build.

What did you do with the original fork (if it had one)? Typically the Moab 1 was fitted with a RockShox Judy XC, the Moab 2 with an RS Indy or Indy C.

Hi, the frame was impulse purchase really. It was just the frame on itself so no forks or anything, I wanted a bije I could chuck around and have lots of fun on and from what I have read, these frames are brilliant for it.
is mine a 1 or 2?

Was looking earlier and found your bike in the Uk catalogue for 1997. Its a Moab A1 should have indy xc's and an xt lx part mix.
Same Geometry as the homegrown models.

I'll try and take you a pic. The homegrowns were the usa made models built by controltech and yeti for schwinn. I seem to be collecting them
The moabs were the top of the tawain made range yours being the most expensive.

http://www.bonustomato.com/ Is a good place for homegrown info
