Schwinn Cruiser 1988 Wine Red

Needed a good wallop with my wubber mallet and then it popped out, pretty rusty inside, going to clean it up a bit and punch a new star nut down there for the luxurious klunkmachine.

New seatpost makes me happy whenever I look at it, unlike that ungodly shite called seat guts. Probably invented by the French - don't correct me.

Imagine how fecking livid the people back in the day before actually useful seatposts would have been, if I could have travelled back in time and fitted one of these. Going 'Just the one bolt, just the one!', and the French would be heckling me, throwing moldy baguettes and runny brie at me.

But but....seatguts are one bolt....ok two nuts washers and 4 other bits 😆
Agreed flippin horrid things unless you can find a Purdy french aluminium one....I like them.

Doing the work that brother Mickey prescribed me, good for the soul sanding of a steerer so it fits in his bits but my god it's tedious and then he has the tenacity to say it's a 2 minute job

2 minutes in deep space perhaps

I'm starting to think I'd be better of putting my teeth on there and spinning it real fast

Since I'm going to be using the 1 lever for front brake, I am calling on you brethren to recommend nice looking levers that'd look good on their own, that are v brake compatible and ideally they should cost less than my kidneys
