Schwinn Cruiser 1988 Wine Red

I used to eat sausages like 2 times a week, you are almost made to feel guilty if you refuse a sausage up here. I've since cut down and these days I will have a French hotdog every month or so, and sometimes a roasted with everything.

French can be a bit easier, do you do this type in your neck of Denlands? Nethermark?View attachment 660079
We do, Hema hotdog:

Always good to taste the butchers sausage before you pay ;)
If the butcher actually dried his sausage I know some people who will taste it.

I never thought about this. But it isn't the first time you made me stop and think about something I took for granted. I think it is simply hung to dry in air. I wouldn't expect something locally made to be complex..

New seatpost makes me happy whenever I look at it, unlike that ungodly shite called seat guts. Probably invented by the French - don't correct me.

Imagine how fecking livid the people back in the day before actually useful seatposts would have been, if I could have travelled back in time and fitted one of these. Going 'Just the one bolt, just the one!', and the French would be heckling me, throwing moldy baguettes and runny brie at me.

I think that one goes to the British - but don't quote me - a while back I did a "how to" bit about these on a thread where for the life of me I can't remember where I wrote it. In short, you fcuk about with it in a different order compared to a modern seat-post.

PS: Sorry to disturb you both talking affectionally about your sausages.

Thought I said don't correct me 🤪

So its the devilish Brits that decided to curse the ass perch designs

Now I don't disagree with the fact that they work and that once you've fiddled with them they stay put, but the fiddling is still far more tedious than:

1 grab saddle
2 slide top rail clamp in, rest saddle on bottom rail clamp
3. handscrew bolt into little spinning thingymajig, adjust angle and give it a good firm couple of turns

That in my opinion is the pinnacle of saddle clamps.. I don't like the ones where everything is adjusted with two bolts as much..
