Long story short, this German brand Schmolke ends up being a bike ride away from my house. I went there a few days ago to talk to the owner about whether or not he has any NOS parts from the early to mid 1990’s. He has these three bars, uncut and various sidewall thicknesses, weights and lengths. Circa 1993-1994.
He was happy to hear that there are people still around who are interested in parts from the 90’s as well as lamented about some modernization aspects of the bike industry. Anyhow enough yapping- the blonde bars I bought today the others I offer for sale. Photos follow left-to-right context for weight THEN lengths.
Left: 480 mm (approx.), 84.8 grams 250€
Middle: 535 mm (approx.), 89.4 grams 225€
Right: 545 mm (approx.), 93.9 grams 250€
No chips, no cracks or splinters, all are perfect. All the handlesbars were load-tested and the owner showed me some of his old data sheets regarding safety and usefulness. These three bars are rated for all riding types and body weight. Hand-made in Southern Germany.
Prices exclude shipping (from Germany).
