Hi folks,
I seem to have hit an impasse in my '99 Lobo rebuild - I can't locate a pair of matching 151's for love nor money. I'm seriously looking at the possibility of scavenging the component parts and having a go at building some up myself. Trouble is, I barely have a clue where to start - suspension, at either end, is the only part of my bikes I've never learned to disassemble in my sleep. The parts needed for the externals are pretty straightforward I think - stanchions, lowers, crowns, through-axle and steerer ( bolts). When it comes to the internals, it's all witchcraft.
Any thoughts? Is this even practical, or is it just going to cause me more pain than sourcing a complete pair?
Incidentally, if anyone knows of a set, I've got a spare Lobo shock I picked up years ago when cheap. Would happily include in a deal.
Thanks,
-Mark
