Scary differences in prices of parts

CRC and the big boys are often selectively expensive as well as selectively cheap. Marzocchi seals at my LBS on their labelled price were about 20% cheaper than CRC. After a 'regulars rate' on other stuff they are very competitive.
Frankly I'm increasingly going to my LBS as I can get advice and decent chat as well as a thing in a box. If you don't use them, you lose them.

A shop local to me is doing Mavic shoes cheaper than any of the online suppliers, even beating CRC. There are bargains out there.

Velo Ecosse in Edinburgh. I'm going to buy some from them tomorrow as my old Poobahs are about ten years past their sell buy date and I'm just getting back into the ways of clipless again and need decent shoes as my feet are getting tortured.
