Thank you everyone, it is really a stunning original bike.

It proves that not everyone out there is trying to inflate prices of retro bikes and kit to silly prices. There are still bargains out there to be had

....or that someone does not know the true vale of what they have and has sold it cheap. I'd have expected that bike to go for around £3000

I've had a couple of spare days to start to restore this bike...

Frame saver for the inside of the frame, super glue to sort out the top tube rattle and polish to clean up the paint.







The Super Record head set and Nuovo Record BB come with the 50th anniversary group and are the only parts in the group that are standard Campagnolo and aren't designed as part of the group.





This bike has only covered approx 1000 miles and the parts are like new, just a little dirty and rusty.

Cleaned a few bits today. Most of the chrome on the parts, mostly fastenings had suffered really badly and all the alloy was dull.

Dull chainset and rusty chrome


Cleaned up beautifully


Front Mech was particularly poor


But came up almost like new
