Saracen Trekker Comp 1989 Double U Brakes Finished pics!

UPDATE:
Stripped down and headset rebuilt with correct Deore lower cup.
All black finished parts prepped for repainting.
Black Seat post, Rolls saddle, original NOS grips and replacement L/H MT 60 crank arm ordered.
Front inner tube replaced and NOS toe straps sourced.
Bottom bracket soaked and ready to be stripped and rebuilt (for the first time in 23 years by the look of it!)

Pics to follow soon ;-)

Just bagged a 20" one of these myself in similar original-but-neglected condition. Only the saddle/grips/tyres have changed although it's had a black rattle-can paint job over the green!

Still pulling it apart to see how much work a restoration would be... The black seat post looks original and has 26.4 stamped on it, made by Kalloy. Badly scratched and rusty but at least it wasn't stuck :)

Nice one! I have wondered about sourcing the original Spearmint paint myself.....
Here's a couple of resto pics.

I only got mine yesterday and it's already stripped down. Only the bottom bracket was stubborn but I got it out in one piece and the bearings are mint!

Even the hubs and brake pads are barely worn... It can't have done many miles in it's life. Just needs a repaint and a whole lot of polishing :D

It's got T8903 stamped under the BB which I guess means March 89?
