Saracen kili comp 97 updated pics page 2

yeah will have gears a plenty, it is SS just to keep the weight down albeit it would seem to be a heavier 853 frame any roads.

is it just those style of decals or do you like the nude look tintin? I don't love the font but they are period.

The frame looks lovely, tasty finish to the frame lovely colour. The frame material decal says it all.
The look of the frame is class. Not many frames not having decals ( both my Trimble are decal free)

Killi

They did them in a nice turquoise too, had one BITD, still rated as poss one of the best steel hard tails EVER made, worthy of a full re coat and boutique kit really, the prob for me was they only really made them in preety large sizes

Hey Gaz,

I think this is a case of the ugly duckling - in there somewhere is a beautiful swan :)

I loved mine. Covered a load of miles on her and she went through a heap of costume changes.

I bought the frame and built it up primarily as a SS but it spent most of its time like this:

Really quite light even with gears - really light as a SS ;)

Loads of mudroom too at the back

Between a couple of me pals we own half a dozen of these. i can tan (19mph avg) mine for 40/50 mile and step off ready for an afternoon dance (Tange Prestige), me 853 riding oppo's seem to have independently also reached this conclusion. Been up the Longhill @16mph thru inclusive of already tanning 20 miles first, truth is it felt like a bit of nothingness/did'nt touch, wish i had discoverd them in me younger days i'd have been actively seeking riders that favoured a wager (done 21 mile xcountry in hr 12 mins/summer gone), unfortunately i'm closer to 50 than 45 so any go fast is purely for the craic and this model feels like some kinda joke magic carpet that i don't want to get off. That coupled with a nos variant xt'd-up likely wont stand in at £300 really does provide a different slant (for a user).' A lot an half' (to be read in a BoyZee dialect).

Besides the reddy coloured version highlighted in this thread there were also two slightly different orange colours produced along with a bluey-purple, yellow and jade green (me fav/a totally different green to the catalogue example).

Got an original strut fork kicking around somewhere for this model Gazz ;) , if it's going to the right home i'm sure i can have me arm twisted.
