I was planning on maybe swapping out the avids for m952 cos I was originally unsure about the two different shades of orange. But now I have tried the avids I don't think I will be changing due to the fact they are awesome as far as v brakes go..

the avids rock agree with you and I think they are a good match.

clearly one the most gorgeous frame on retrobike

just one comment : orange avids could be swapped for 950 xtr just for a nice colour contrast and a recall of the 5 arm superb crankset ( much better looking than the 4 arm one)

I touched on swapping the avids with m950 vs earlier in the thread. Grey would probably be slightly aesthetically pleasing but as I previously mentioned, the avid v's are ace performance wise. I have used xtr vs and never really got on with them, imo too much play/squeal and not as light/powerful as these and I suspect other avids. Maybe I will swap them for some grey avid ti if and when a nice set crops up.
