What size is it do you think?

Do you bet the post is stuck?

I thought the same and I messaged the seller. They couldn't check 'because it requires a tool and we don't have it'.

I reckon it's stuck then

Re:

Alarm Bells certainly ringing. N14 if anyone wanted to check it out with (I assume) an Allen key. I wouldn't be interested either way any more.

Re:

is N14 particularly bad?

Despite living in London, I don't know much about North of the river, except that this is just beyond Tottenham territory (no football reference intended) which isn't a great place to visit; athough I wouldn't recommend a visit to Norwood either.

Re:

Did you buy it? Nice one, fingers crossed it all comes apart easily, it's all there so could be a lovely original bike once it's overhauled, get a build thread up, you know how we love these old saris!

Yeah I've been after one for ages and couldn't resist. You never see the kili come up - the odd Conquest and a few Tufftrax but even those are few and far between. Seems fairly original, just needs some tyres and will probably replace the saddle.

I'm hoping 50 quid was a worth a punt despite the seat post concerns. Some people honestly don't know what an Allen key is, especially in that there London with their cocktail bars and musicals :)

Re:

You can't go wrong at that money either way. It looks in decent nick generally so hopefully it will slide right out

If you accept advice, you'll need a large vice but if the accepted advice is wrong, the large vice will not work so the advice to use a vice will be poor advice.

Phew...
