Hi all
I have a bit of a shed find for you - hopefully someone can get it back to former glory or use for parts.
Santa Cruz Super 8 frame. Was originally green before someone ruined it with a horrid paintjob of pink that has come off in large sections.
The rear arm has cracked in the past and has been welded. It's been a fairly heavy handed weld to make sure it never goes again, and seems to be rock solid, but really it needs grinding smooth to help the appearance.....
On the plus side, all other welds seem solid and apart from the welded section, there are no other dents in the frame. Has the original disc brake mounts fitted and cable routers.
There's no play in the bearings that I can feel, and the threads for the BB are fine.
Could be a brilliant project for someone - grind the weld down and get shot blasted and powder coated.
Only wanting £50 collected, or I'll post.
