Hi, Clockworkgazz, Thanks for the nice comments. It's a fair point about the handling given that the frame was originally designed for shorter rigid forks. But the RockShox are old 1997 XCs (new paint job !!!)which are only 50mm travel at best. Not too much longer than the Mags that the great Jason McRoy used to ride DH on back in the day ( I used to have some of those, wish I still had them ! ). Yeah it's slightly slower but it all holds together quite nicely. It's not as nippy as my more modern Salsa Moto Rapido but downhill the slackened feel is solid and stable. I've run those forks on it since they were new. If you're worried about running 50mm forks on an old school frame just stick a slightly shorter stem on and things start to quicken up, I find .
