Salsa a la Carte 1991

The a la Carte is getting regular use and is a blast to ride. It is very smooth, stable and handles well. The colour scheme always makes me smile and it's nice to own an American made bike with some cool parts.
Here is the spec:

Look familiar?! This is from the review in Mountain Bike Action in August 1991:

The Ritchey connection... I wanted some Ritchey components in the mix as this frame has Ritchey drop-outs. Thankyou @Tootyred for the brake levers and @catkins for the cantilevers. The Mavic M261 on XT hubs fit this build perfectly - thankyou @d8mok for the trade on those.
To match the tapered brake pad bolts on the Ritchey cantilevers I got tapered titanium bolts for the cable hanger and brake bosses. These came from Pro-Bolt , which is an excellent site.

I used titanium bolts for most of the components. I got the M8 stem bolt from Titan Classics - very good price and quick delivery.
