Salsa a la Carte 1991

Living the early 90's MBUK dream...

One of the reasons I got the a la Carte was to do a race on it. Seeing all those pictures of JMC racing his Salsa was an inspiration.

Today was the day!

56km / 35 mile race. Dirt and gravel single track.

I had a blast. Great fun. This bike rides like a magic carpet. So smooth, with point and shoot handling. It doesn't accelerate from a standing start or up climbs as quick as my Explosif (probably due to the longer chain-stays) but it does everything really well and is overall more comfortable.
A great all-rounder.

Tough guys don't eat quiche.

That was the first edition of MBUK I ever bought. An iconic rider, on an iconic bike. Top work and great to see it being ridden 👍

Impressive to see a classic rig used as it was meant to! Can't imagine the thrills of getting it back on track on race! Enjoy it!
