Not strictly speaking true Clubby, but as the SNP are the biggest party in the very broad coalition of Yes supporters, and the current Scottish government it is understandable they have been at the head of the debate.
The Labour party has lost its way. Big time. As OCP says, they do not represent the people they are meant to. There is a chance that if we win independence that the Scottish Labour party will re-invigorate itself and become something other than a poor facsimile of the Tory party. But I think that may take time. Currently the Scottish Labour party seems to be completely lacking in talent, certainly at the top of the hierarchy. While the SNP has Salmond, Sturgeon and Swinney, who whether you like them or not you cannot deny are very capable politicians.
The first Government in an independent Scotland will have a lot of work to do. It can be done successfully, but it will need the best we have to do it. An SNP/Green coalition would have the mix of talent, idealism and experience we need IMHO.
