Upon stripping the bike I have just discovered that the weld between the seatpost and the seatstay yoke is almost completely cracked through! About 4mm on underside left. Damnit! Looks like she will go back in the shed until I decide what to do. Sorry guys.
A recurring shoulder injury means I have to drastically alter my riding position to a more 'heads up' type position along with comfort giving suspension so I am sadly going to have to get rid of this.
Recently refinished, the frame has been stripped and powdercoated black. The powder has been laid really nicely and the bb etc were very well masked. The white panels are just vinyl so you could easily get Gil to do some period correct decals instead of the retromod style I went for.
Size is 19", with a 1" headtube and 27.0 seattube. Top tube 22.5" C-C, seat tube 19" C-C 20.5 " C-T, head tube 108mm, bb 73mm.
Price is for bare frame only, and that is £65 posted.
There is a very small dent on the lhs seatstay and some slight damage to the front cable guide on the top tube (doesn't affect it doing it's job), both done quite a long time ago by a previous owner.
Pics of dent in seatstay (pic makes it lok worse!) and damage to cable stop. (Still holds cable fine, looks like it may have been cut in the past to free a seized ferrule.)
