Saddle colours

Maybe a stupid question but is their any decent vinyl paints that I could use to cover the Selle Itaila seat that was on my bike when I got it. It is the only non original part on the bike as far as I can see, it is red with yellow around the base and I would prefer it blue with matching blue handlebar tape.

I don't think painting a saddle would work very well, as the paint would probably crack and rub off. You could always try recovering it - you could probably get away with just another layer of leather/fabric on top of the existing cover, if it was well glued.

Brooks do some nice colours these days, albeit expensive.

Paint? Forget it.

Brooks saddles aren't expensive in the long run as they last so long. I paid £17 for my B17 about 24 years ago but I expect to get at least another 24 years out of it :D .

They are when you look at the initial investment. I have practically all Brooks saddles on my Carltons and love them, yes they pay you over time.
