I had to ride 1x8 for along time in the 90s. My front shifter got smashed and no funds to fix for months. After that have had many 1x bikes, so nothing new there. Go for it after all it's about what you want want your bike to be

So, as it's MUCH easier for you all to make my decisions for me;

It's having maguras. I have a few sets, and have narrowed it down to either;

A) a set of the original hydrostops

B) a later set in bright red (NOS)

So, A or B???
