S Works Steel Restoration

Hi,

So after reading this site I thought I would set about tarting up my old S Works Steel (1994). It has a touch of rust here and there so before anything else happens it will be off for a re-spray. It will stay rigid with the original forks.

Should I keep the kit retro or go with new stuff? Should the colour stay the same or something else? I suppose, when will it no longer be an authentic S-Works? I would value some opinions on the subject as I'm flip-flopping!

if it were mine i'd go standard colour and original or period correct kit.

the kit isnt really important though as it can be swapped easily enough.

there is something to be said for an old frame with new gear.

Build it how you would have back in the day - ie period correct not factory spec. If you are going rigid, which I'd recommend, then it will just feel right I'm sure.
