I've just bought and tested this great product: Safest Rust Remover.

It's so easy, you just have to let the product act, leave your rusted parts in it for a few hours and the result is just stunning... like new :shock:

Actually, it's 1/5 of the "Safest rust Remover" and 4/5 of water and after a few hours, the liquid is brown...

Try something really rusty in there.

I use Oxalic Acid. At the cheap price, and the convenience of making up as little as I need each time it's bingo!

There's a long instruction thread on Vintage BMX about oxalic acid (perfect for those 1980s chromed frames).

It leaves non-ferrous components, paint and even decals etc. untouched.
And, as Highlandsflyer mentioned, you can mix it to the desired concentration.

I cringe whenever I see somebody "restore" stuff using the typical "abrasives + brute force" :facepalm:
