I use motorcycle chain wax in my frames. As long as it is clear to start with, gives decent protection.

(Over many years I have been doing this.)

If I was your dealer, I would throw in some nice extras for your inconvenience.

Got the bike back from the dealer, a new set of rust free forks fitted. Got a discount of a few accessories so happy, not the start I would have liked with the bike but dealer dealt with it well.Off out tomorrow for its maiden ride

Must be disappointing to see it from new but any uncoated steel will obviously oxidise, especially if stored somewhere cold where condensation can form within the tubes.

Use a frame protector spray...

Or at very least blast some gt85 into it every now and again to drive out the water.

Agree with the above, get some GT 85 in there and it'll form a good protective barrier to stop surface oxidization
