I love old drillium stuff when properly executed. I also love drillium stuff when it's been balls'd up! This is certainly the later and renders it pretty much worthless, well a lot less than £68, they are accepting offers after all...

I think the only people who are going to be upset about it are spending to much time noticing it. you can't see one side and the other isn't the first place I'll be looking when a nice bike rolls by. it's no weaker than if the holes were all nicely lined up, it's still a good hub, so meh, all power to em, hope they get their sale.

I like that approach! The challenge will be trying to make it look natural and not contrived. Plus it's even lighter again!!!

I suspect the holes were drilled when "Campagnolo" was what you had to have, and all British parts were an embarrassment on a fancy racer for many riders.
