Just wanting to know what tyres people are using on their bikes. Im on a set of DMR bikes moto. They're a chunky looking tyre but more suited for road use, as it's an every day hack. Looking for ideas on something a little different for a new build!

I tend to use iirc Mythos for riding retro but also have some Tioga Mud Dawgs to look pretty. On modern I have a Kenda Nevegal/Bluegroove combo.

i'm a big fan of maxxis ignitors in 2.35
a very grippy tyre, plenty of volume too
i have them on my boardman
the Moutaincycle has Onza Porc kevlars,
Saracen is currently on Bontrager LT3s
and the Rocky Mountain is on Conti Speed kings

Mountain kings2.0 on the work horse, spesh adrenalin pro's on the single speed, racing ralphs on the hard tail, wtb cross wolfs on the crosser, and 3" monsters on the gull susser.

All my bikes are retro, but tyre fr me need not be. Shame tyres have gone to big logo's and my new paris does

Onza Rip&Rail Kevs/Ambers for my all retro snow play thing

Been using [bi]Panaracer Firs Mud Pro[/b] folding 1.8's for mud duties and they are great for that and quick, about to replace them for some new Schwalbe nobby nic snakeskin evo's (cheap at merlin, pair) also fancy some panaracer trailraker for the damper condition if these don't work out, (pair folding also cheap at merlin)
[by cheap, they are not cheap, just less then elsewhere fora pair]

Other than then, new build has them £10 set of amber IRC Mythos, folding front things.

Retired until the summer are Conti Explorers Pro as they where excellent around here in the spring/summer weather. but they are getting worn and cut up from all the hawthorn thorns and they seem to have been relegated to Wire bead only now
Also have some Conti Twister Supersonics, make the bike all floppy at the front, Very light and quick but a bag 'o' shite on well anything. Probably excellent n canal paths.

Though depending on your aim fora tyre mud, roots, rock, paths, beach, road, clay ....
But none of these are different to any others and quite normal tyres to have.
Something different may be these and amber-ish (darker) to keep the nice clean look.

On the modern bike I've got Continental Vapors, which I find good all-rounders and not sluggish on bits of road between the off-road.

On the retro bike (no1) I have a dogs dinner of Kenda Blue-Groove and Panaracer something or other. I like the Kenda for grip but its a bit slow and noisy so will be shopping around for a better pair of tyres. Thinking of sutiable cross-country tires I will either go retro and hunt out something from the Ritchey stable or go modern and go Maxxis Crossmark or Specialized Renegade.

On un-finished retrobike no 2, I will be going for panaracer fire-xc things.
