Hello Everyone,

It's 2008, and time for a new project. Now, i know that the GT RTS is popular with all you RetroBikers, so i'm throwing my quandry out to the masses.....

Do i leave it polished with the standard black rear triangle, or do i throw caution to the wind, and go all out with a full respray?
Also (it gets worse...), do i colour code my Rock Shox Mags to match the rear triangle? The original gold has long since flaked off...

'Help me RetroBikers, you're my only hope!' :?

Nice little project, im respraying mine and going ot match my bombers to rear trianle, but thats because the frame is already painted, what colours are you thinking of?

Not sure, i don't want it to look like a £99 catologue special, but then i really wanna add some colour..... Argh.....!

Polished throughout is my favorite, and make sure you get a nice shine on the aluminum. I use Brasso.
Then trick it out with a nice colour on the accessories, but don’t go over the top.
Here is what I have managed to achieve with my ’97 RTS-2.

i've had a thought dude. highly polish the main triangle, anodised purple seat post grips seat etc. then for the forks and rear triangle how about lime green. should shine nicley then. know what i mean fat bloke.
oh. we need to get some rinding in too. get rid of the festive cheer from our middles. i reckon you could do with losing a few lbs. lol
