Rst hi5 forks

Re:

That frame definitely needs some more Triple clamp forks, it a DH frame.
They kind of stopped making decent forks with V-brake mounts by the mid 2000's.
You could maybe look at some long travel single crown forks (z1's?) but if you go too short a travel fork up front it'll do weird things to the handling and you'll be back looking for different forks again.

Yer it’s what I have found online but I’m going for these I think

The SID is an XC fork, it'll fit, and the brakes will fit, but it's like using a squash racket to play baseball...

I’m not after really bouncey forks tbo as I’m not doing downhill properly and as these seem to be the only style fork that fits

Re:

Those Hi5 forks were terrible even new

Don’t put a SID on that as it’ll be wierd to ride

Buy a Z1 or junior T or something matching. There are loads out there

A junior T would be best bet on that frame and are relatively cheap.

We had a set on one of our downhill bikes when they came out. I think there is an air damper in the bottom of one or both legs. Check the bottom of the fork legs for an allen bolt adjuster.

We stripped ours down and rebuilt them using grease etc... and they worked a lot better. But there was an issue with some of them snapping, I think it was the steerer. I'm fairly certain they were all recalled and fixed. Still worth taking it a bit cautiously.

Just a update I’ve tightened the bolts up at the bottom of the forks and it’s seems to of made a difference not much but some

That frame admit disc brakes, isn´t it?

I will go for a much more modern single crown fork (revelation 140mm? or psylo, or etc etc ) and some decent disc brakes and enjoy that bicycle.

If you whant to go retro, go for a Marzocchi like the previous one have said. A bomber Junior T from 1998 for example.

Re:

Go for some Junior Ts or Mr T's as others have suggested. That's my Coyote and I've had those forks since new, they're still working great.
