Royce bottom bracket users.....

Do they creak? Only reason for asking is that the cup is similar to the Hope Ti of old and that was one creaky thing....

Any other issues at all.....

when i went to royce to chat with cliff he had some special grease that he recommended to use. might be worth giving him a ring.

My three don't. But neither do my 2 Hopes.

But I do grease all interfaces except tapers before assembly.

got 2 and neither creaks. One has been running since 1994. According the Clive's fitting instructions that come with a new Royce BB, applying incorrect amounts of torque to the cups when fitting will result in an eternally creaking BB. There's a small little devil printed next to that statement with an evil (what else) smile....serious stuff

My Hope Ti doesn't creek either. Took it out today after being in the frame for 15 years. Looks like new still. Bearings aren't run in yet!
