Yorkshire puddings on a Roast Lamb dinner? I've had to explain we're not Northern or Weatherspoon's and i won't accept a repeat performance. What has happened to this country?

I'm pleased she came around to the correct way of thinking, but I doubt it will make up for the years of obvious neglect. To be clear, you've been eating a roast lamb dinner without Yorkshire puds for all this time? I am shocked and appauled.

Next time you go round, I'd request a quadruple portion of Yorkshires to undo the damage, over time you may recover.

My dad would “save” mums home made yorkshire pud and have it after the main meal with a (not so) healthy coating of sugar liberally sprinkled on top. The rest of us would have ours with the main meal doused in gravy. I preferred mine on the rare occasion the crust was burned

my old man would always make sure there were a few extra, along with a couple of roasties. then he'd have them with a sprinkle of salt on afterwards.

Anything that isn't soaked up by the Roasties and veg is given to the dogs to lick the plate clean so it can go back in the cupboard for my mother to eat off next time.

The man speaks the truth. Traditionally they were had first with gravy to fill you up before the expensive food was served. But I'm a maverick.
