Rondelli questions

right, forgive me if this is the wrong section......but honestly I havent got a clue about this frame.

I have just bought a rondelli frame in black/blue with original decals, it has carbon forks and stays and the BB thread is italian, it looks to be a 1" HS but II havent measured it yet, it has got the name Bruce Edwards on the top tube which looks like its original as it is laquered into the original livery.

Does anyone out there know anything about Rondelli frames or this one.

Re:

good enough for glenn longland, this was about a week ago at a 50mile TT ;)

Glenn Longland "Old Wardle" (pickwick bicycle club name)
Winner of the Bidlake Memorial Plaque in 1991 for his 12 hours national competition record of 300.08 miles to become the first rider to average more than 25 m.p.h. when he won the Poole Wheelers event on 1st September 1991. This ride also ensured his second victory in the British Best All-Rounder Competition.

Glenn is a multiple Time Trial champion. He holds 5 RRA records in addition to his 11 RTTC records (both totals are a mixture of two and three wheeled exploits).

Ron will have bought these in from a far east supplier just like 'open mould' carbon frames are sourced these days. I'll bet you will find the exact same frame with all sorts of names on them. Nothing wrong with them though!

Sorry, I have only just seen this, but Rondelli was the brand name used by Ron Spencer Cycles in Warrington, Ken Jones was the importer.

Bruce Edwards was a member of Warrington Road Club, and a former club sponsor through his newsagents business, he wasn't a racer, but enjoyed the club scene, and I believe is in the Stockport area now, maintaining friendships with several club members.
