Rocky Mountain Equipe - 1996 Frame 16" (plus spare whee

Retro Newbie
After some deliberation I've decided to sell my 1996 Rocky Mountain Equipe. I bought this new from Richmond Cycles (Richmond Upon Thames) in 1996 and although it was ridden regularly initially it was relegated to 2nd bike after a couple of years and wasn't really ridden much until revived for some commuting duties last summer. Now I'm doing a bit of a revamp of the fleet and funds from this sale are going to go towards a "new skool" steel frame.

The bike came originally with Rock Shox Mag 21s, but after they blew for the 3rd time I replaced them with Manitou Skareb Comps in 2003. All the other parts are more or less original.

Frame - Rocky Mountain Equipe Tange Prestige 16"
Fork - Manitou Skareb Comp (2003)
Bar stem and seatpost or all Rocky Mountain branded
Crankset - Rocky Mountain branded
Rear Mech - Shimano XT
Front Mech - Shimano XT
Chain - KMC
Shifters - SRAM GripShift 8 speed
Wheels - SUN CR18 rims on Shimano LX Parallax hubs.
Tyres- Geax Street Runners
Brakes - Dia Compe 886 cantis (rear), Shimano Deore v-brake (front)
Brake levers - Dia Compe Power Control 7
Saddle - Fisik Nisene (hardly used as I had it lying around in a stash of bits)
Pedals - Shimano SPD 520s

I'll also throw in a spare of wheels - Mavic UB Control 220 rims with Shimano LX Parallax (Silent Drive) hubs

I'm not sure about the exact value of these but I'll ask for £250 to start negotiations. Collection in person preferred (Staines Middx/Surrey border).

If this ad doesn't pique much interest then I'll post on e-bay.

It's 16" from centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube and approx 18" to the top of the seat tube. If it was 19" I'd never get my leg over it as I'm not the tallest person in the world.

I would be inclined to say that was a 17.5" Rocky Mountain frame then.
They did a 18.5" but I think it's smaller (from your 16" measurment)

(they also did a 14.5" and 16" but it is not one of them ;))

Shame it's not larger.
