Rockshox SID v-brake/disc fork, polished - £110 posted

Bought a while back off STW, was going to use these on the Bow-ti but have changed my mind! Previous owner polished the legs, this has held up pretty well but could use a 're-polish' if you're picky. Not sure on year model, sorry. Were sold to me as having had a recent service and appear to be in fine working order. Asking £110 posted for these

Are the legs on these not made of magnesium?

Possibly... would that be an issue do you think? The polished metal has held up well, but there is a bit of 'tarnishing' that I reckon would buff out with a bit of elbow grease and Autosol?

Assuming they are magnesium (most forks used to be ?), taking the paint off is going to allow the metal to react with the oxygen in the air.

Remembering one of the favorite diversions in the school chemistry lab was the burning of magnesium ribbon, I'd not want a naked flame near by
