DrmZ Breezer Fan Feb 8, 2025 #3 You probably have to convert the M6 bolts on the lower legs to the M8 bolts the SID uses like @Thias did on his Hydracoil conversion: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/Specialized_FSX_Hydracoil_conversion I had the same idea a few months back and have all parts here but in the end decided against it. I also tried the Hydracoil conversion: it works great but from all the oil the fork gets a lot heavier. If you do it, please show your progress. Would be interesting for future projects!

joglo Senior Retro Guru Feb 9, 2025 #4 there are hacks where just a Judy crown, the one with screws from early years, is used on early SID models till 2002. You have to carefully cut the original fixed/pressed crown from the stanchions of the SiD. With that you can also build than a SID with 1" steerer, which was never on sale. https://www.mtbr.com/threads/with-a-dremel-tool-anything-is-possible.86466/ Whats your intention or idea? Twozaskars Senior Retro Guru Feb 9, 2025 #6 I wish I'd thought of this 3 weeks ago before I sold a manky rotten Sid that worked fine and a yellow non-corroding Judy with no internals. It never even crossed my mind.
