I understand there was a recall and that's what they have to honour I assume in the legal T's and C's when they bought them.

You're not going to get a Mag back, you'll likely get the most basic 26" QR fork they still sell. I'd just keep it as wall art and get something from eBay, plenty of suitable retro forks on there for very little money at the moment.

The bikes been in dry storage for years just obviously not ridden. The crown has just crumbled and I assume that is why there was a recall. I'll start the search for a suitable retro replacement. Thanks for all your comments

The recall I believe was bco cracking during use with potential for serious injury, not bco detorioration from storage.

Might be the same problem though - unsuitable alloy, crystallising and failing. Better it does that in storage than on the trail
