Rock shox Judy XC

Hi all, I have discovered a pair of Judy XC forks in my shed, they must be circa 1997 I think. I remember having them way back when and stripping them to discover that the elastomers were less than great.

does anyone know if they have a value to you retro chaps out there?

they do have a Judy SL fork brace which is yellow in contrast to the goldish sort of colour of the XC's it has a brake mount suitable for cantis (I think they were Onza HO era forks) no disc mounts.

no more than £30 id say, but its hard to say when you dont know what they look like. i would buy them off you if they were cheap, and one day i'll upgrade them to springs

We can give you all the details you need. A few pictures will get you the year and a possible price. They reange from 20 odd delivered up to about 100 quid, all depends on ocpndition. As they are not SLs price will not reach the 100quid.
Take the ldgfs apart (bolts at the bottom) and check the gold on the stanchionhasnt been damaged. If not your looking at working forks, if so they are just Spares for someone.

additionally I have pictured a pair of Fox Vanilla RLC forks, they are in really good condition, and adjustable via moving spacers between 80 and 125mm I believe.

I have the outer parts of a Judy SL with new stanchions but no inner workings. So this could be a good donor maybe. Will watch this space.

without the condition of the inside it is hard to tell, you need to pull them apart. (it's easy)
and if it has springs or crumbled elastomer stack in it.


that outer leg is poor though.

but that's cosmetic. Working condition (on the inner gold leg is the most important, next if there is oil in the damper.

If you don't find these out, they just default to the lowest spares or repair price.
(unless the steerer length is 220mm+)

Thanks for the info, elastomers have had it, they have turned to dust, damping still works which is why I refrained from removing the bottom bolts, both inner gold legs are spotless, and the colour is uniform. i.e. not lighter where the wear happens.
