Rock Lobster 853, FINISHED !

Re:

First proper ride after work today!

Up to the South Downs, if you get my drift :?

Saw a big fish with half it's head missing, on the bridleway! Kicking myself that I didn't take a photo!

A bit further up,

Harvest was just in time here, as the rain came down later!
Onto the SDW, past the Yoof 'ostel, bruv  , then a right turn, onto some of my favourite trails. Downhill, naturally!

Nice long drop, with a bit of technical rooty stuff. Up and over a small lump, and down into Steyning, for a short bit of road respite, before tackling this.

To infinity, and beyond! Yes, I did make it! ;)

Loving this set up. Wide bars and 26" wheels making it nice and flicky, but with 2.1 tyres on , for good grip!

At the top, a quick pause to take in the view

Before heading onto my fave singletrack! Rooooty! A messge to you, Rooty!

Started feeling spots of rain at this pint, so made a careful descent down south again, nearing home.

Looks harmless enough, but wet compacted chalk is glacial
Was riding in the gravel where I could, at least you have some control that way!

Last bit of bridleway before heading home,

Getting wet at this stage, so well timed! Then back home for a cuppa! Nice

Really pleased with the bike, and with the high wide bars, feels like my 29er, in a strange way. But easier to sprint on this one! Cool

Mike

P.S. Yes, I still need cable ends!

Re:

Thanks Paul,

I think they're around 660mm. Bonty jobbies

Weird about the fish. Top of Kingston Lane, if you're looking for something for tea!

Re:

Nice

Much better with flat bars and those forks look surprisingly good.
The most disturbing thing is one way or another I've now got three bikes the same as yours, one by design having seen your Endorphin the others quite by fate.

Having seen this you make me want to pull my finger out and get my 93 NTI Lobster done,

Disturbing for YOU ?

How do you think I feel about it!

Finishing touches today, having got some cable ends, colour coded, naturally, along with tidying up the steerer tube.
