Roberts White Spider in Peckham

I kind of hope that someone does buy it, should be a law against allowing quality frames to slowly rust away ;) I did consider it, but it is pricey at the moment - especially since other White Spider frames have sold on here for around half that price.... the other major problem from my personal perspective is that it has too much yellow on it.

Perhaps it they will continue to drop the price over time until someone bites.

There is a rusty old green GT Timberline that has gone from £500 to £150 over the last year or so... despite it's 'enamel paint'

Strangely the yellow is what attracted me to it!

I was very close to buying this from the FB advert. FWIW it was around £400 with fork included, which seemed about right, based on condition.

No sour grapes on my part having missed out by the way. I just get a bit irked when people buy up frames and parts with no intention to use then immediately flip at a super inflated price…

I’ll be interested to see how long it lingers for sale and where the price ends up :)

A flip is a flip. But at least take good pics and leave an honest and accurate description… in actual words… with actual measurements…. and not using AI…..

It’s enough to make a person mildly disgruntled!

The fork alone is worth £450, or at least it was prior to the recent dip in the retro market. At £400 for both, it’s a total no brainer.

I suspect whomever bought it from the original advert needed the fork for another bike (I haven’t seen it relisted for sale) and has over estimated the value of the frame. Which is a bit greedy as the frame would probably sell at £350-400, giving them a free or very cheap Bontrager composite fork.

Surely the fork is included in the eBay sale despite the title. Why would they bother including 3 or 4 pics of the rusty brake bosses?

Looking at the new listing with the new photos I think maybe you’re right.. I was look at the original listing on your first post.

Defo worth checking with the seller though, before buying, as it is a little bit ambiguous...

Absolutely 👍🏻 I’ve sent him a message. Might be worth me buying for the fork and selling the frame on. Shame, but the frame is too small for me.
