A nice machine, I always think of Dave Hemming's White Spider, his choice of bike as a sponsored MBUK rider. He had the REd/Yellow fade on white & it just seems iconic for that bike.
Nicely built & another thumbs-up for the Suntour choice.

So, spec list.
My aim with this build was to create the nearest thing to a brand new White Spider. I also wanted to use Suntour XC Pro.
I am pleased with how it's turned out and look forward to many more enjoyable rides.
Major appreciation to the RB community, as much of the spec list came from this site.

Great looking bike and story

Did you decide to go with the modern decals over the period correct version?

Only wondering, as I have a couple of Roberts frames in the queue for renovation and the ones in the old brochures you posted look superb

My original plan was to go with the earlier Roberts font (like the font on the stem) but the plan changed because the painter only had the newer decals. And I also changed my mind because the earlier decal is smaller, and on this larger frame it might have looked a bit lost. If it was a Dogs BOLX I would use the earlier font because both top tube and down tubes would have decals. But on this larger frame frame with only the down tube having a decal, I prefer the newer font.
