Hi,

I am selling this after accepting that it’ll be a while before my 2 year old is able to ride it…
Really nicely put together as you’d expect from Charlie Roberts. Nice drilled lugs with filed tapers, drilled Campagnolo ends and BB shell. Most likely built in late ‘70s (frame number 517). I am not sure about the tubing used but the frame is very light and rides beautifully. The pictures show it with 25mm tyres, there’s plenty of clearance and it originally had 28mm tyres with P-clip mounted mudguards. The paint is a bit rough so it’s an ideal candidate for a respray, but I guess it could be treated to make it better. Correct decals are readily available from H Lloyd, should you need them. No dents, no cracks, everything is straight. 55cm seat tube ctc, 57cm top tube ctc, 13cm head tube. The wheels and headset are not included. I am happy to add a basic headset, Cinelli stem and bars, and some Weinmann Carrera brakes
and levers to sweeten the deal if you’d like.
£140 collected from SE or central London, happy to post at cost.
Cheers

Ahh the days of drillium and Alf Engers…Lovely frame…531db or maybe 531SL…GLWS.
Thanks. I was also thinking 531 Pro (SL).
The frame was originally adorned with full Super Record group set, and posh trimmings, so I am sure it is something very decent. I will get it weighed next week. It should give a better idea.

531SL was about in the late 1970s but the change in name to 531Pro was perhaps early 1980s….Is there a Roberts registry? Could always ask Geoff Roberts?
