Sorry, won't be able to make the weekend as it's the Snowman Rally here and I help look after one of the cars entered. The May outing sounds great and I'm looking forward to it already. If anybody is travelling from Inverness area and fancies sharing transport, let em know. Cheers.

Heather will be about with Caleb and so should have some sort of lunch sorted for around the halfway piont. Working on the BBQ idea.
I will hopefully get down that way in the next few weeks for a rece of the route if anyone is interested in joining me.

Edinburgh is near Inverness from a Global perspective but not a Scottish one. Nah need to save for my hols anyway.

Velofrog who was at Dunkeld on the green Ibis is Inverness.

Lot's of folk have forum names that begin with velo! Must be some weirdo cyclist thing! :?

Not long now guys, just a fortnight away.
Heading out tomorrow into the gales, driving rain and possibly snow to recce it and look for a spot for lunch. Then again.......................
I will report back tomorrow but a quick hand count of who is still coming.
And Fraser I will sort out this week where and when to meet up with you

Just to tempt you guys and show you how good the scenery is.
Will put more info about our Recce run up tomorrow as I am not long in and am heading to bed.

Brian and I did a Recce ride to check the roads etc.
Thought I would share some pics as it was a great day. Brian was on his 29'er singlespeed and I was on my Long Haul Trucker and both machines handled it fine so ride what you want to. Its just on 100klm and there is a bit of climbing but it's generally pretty gradual stuff. Singletrack road and not much traffic at all. Road is much the same as it was last year with no real change to condition.
Heres a few pics to tempt those that are undecided or never gave it much thought. Also to show those that are coming what to expect.
