Didn't Wegmuller get a plastic bag caught in the cassette in the sprint?

Yes a bag got caught in the mech, which prevented him from getting in a more suitable sprinting gear. However, Wegmuller was not renowned for his sprint prowess, and Demol had played a more cagey game in terms of working in the group, so it is very likely Demol would of been the winner anyhow.

Certainly not that aero with width of those bars.. still TT bikes in that era
