Well ex wife Linda now, he had to sell his mansion down in Carrick on Suit a couple of years ago to pay her off ..

Couldn't agree more. Fabulous photograph of Sunday best dress, letting / observing a poor sod suffer in the road in filth, all overseen by a crowd control Gendarme. The swearing must have been a thing to witness, plus the photographer grabbing their attention and promptly being strangled by a punctured tubular.

I think it's the juxtaposition of urgency and suffering that makes this photograph. Not to mention the old adage of being there at the right time and place and close enough. It's clear the photographer was sharp and studied composition and framing. There is humanity and help in it too, but it's clear who is the one who get their hands dirty. I don't think it's anything related to class, but the racing back then and sending these guys in rural regions for the entertainment sakes is totally at the image forefront captured in about 1/125s of a second.
