Handlebar end gear levers nearly always had the cable running to the top of the bars near the stem. Mine did - and so did Rik van Looy's - so it must be right to do it this way 😇
no idea, but i would take that in a 51cmx53cm and ride the snot' out of it

Wish one or two would provide a single line caption to their photos. Who, what event, what's happening etc.
I'm someone who isn't particularly well versed on history and have a "talent" for not recognising faces.

Rant over and thanks

I like that they aren't captioned, leaving us to guess who it is in a lot of cases, which brings back memories too. Keep it up Chrome! :)

Lots of history of the race, along with a rider's personal experience. Plenty of pictures too
"The numbers should have given me a clue as to what I was in for: 1,485km, or 922 miles in 9 days. 15 stages. (That's right, two stages most days Einstein!) "

just to be clear, my request wasn't particularly aimed at any one individual.

and being logical, it can't bring back memories if you cannot recall the rider or occasion ..... unless you mean Hey it's an old photo, i was a toddler back then, wonderful times.
