Horse "sense"!

Arden Challenge '24; racer reins in the horse while riding the bike.



Critérium International '97; horse jumps fence and trots to the lead of the race for about 1Km, later the video is used in the film Amélie.

Strade Bianche Donne '23, rider ended up winning that race after avoiding galloping horse.



Portland Countryside Bike Race '23; "Thunderbolt" jumps fence and crosses finish line first, awarded "Horse of the Race" ribbon by officials. (No imagery available)

Bicycle-horse racing used to be quite popular. Back in the 1980s both Francesco Moser and Freddy Maertens rode exhibition races against harness racers. Can't find any trace of the Moser event on t'net but I remember seeing a picture in Cycling at the time. More info and a video of the Maertens race (in French) are available here.
