road Bike of The Month May 2012 - Nominations Please

Not mine, but I did all the planning, buying etc. then I gave it to my wife as a birthday present (it's too small for me, one of my habits I am afraid!)

It's a 1959 Carlton Continental, with modern (5600) 105 groupset, 6700 wheels. Brooks Flyer special, 3TTT stem and bars. Tyres are Halo Twin Rail Couriers. Still to fit are sparkly purple mudguards and try out some other bars/stems to find ones that she is happy riding with. Pedals are NOS cage pedals that I found on the bay of e.

Stunning Raleigh - will you be putting up some more photos and details in Readers Bikes?
 
That 'new' TI Raleigh needs a race number fitting on the top tube and then it will stand out even more.

My vote goes to the 'newbie'...lol
 
I can post some more photos of the team bike. The bike came from original owner that had only used it for a total of about 150 miles of time trials then not used for 26 years

That is amazing, never seen one in such superb condition.
