RM Element TO 1997

Finally had my first FS ride this week :D .

Found myself a Fox Alps 5R (165mm e-e) coming straight out of another Element. Word says these were valve-tuned by Fox to suit the Element's characteristics.
Google gave me a link to a Russian website and an Alps user manual. Setup was pretty straightforward: set the sag and ride.

Next on the menu was a bushing/axle/bolt kit. Over here http://www.radsportkimmerle.de/Webshop.html (item 1/2/3) you can get an improved version of the original. Bushings are smoother and more durable and the bearingaxles come with a very low-friction coating. As a bonus an installation manual (in German) with pics and torque-values came with it :D

After a 40 KM testdrive yesterday I must admit: I'm impressed. Altough the Element tips the scale at just over 11 KG (both my HT's are sub 10) the ride is comfortable, smooth almost effortless. Didn't notice any flex from the rear. Makes me wonder why I bothered riding HT's for 18 years :?

Cheers,
Ben

Ps What would be the typical air-pressure range for these shocks?
