Ritchey WCS carbon bars. FAKE or GENUINE??

The uneven thickness in the genuine photo looks engineered to me - it's ovalised to give strength in one direction (presumably rider weight). Note that the thin parts are diametrically opposite and thick and thin parts match the opposite side. The suspect bars are merely off-centre in thickness.

It looks like the design changed to save weight (or simplify construction).

i emailed paligap last week (the bristol based ritchey distributor) and the warrenty guy there has replied saying these are the real deal. i'll never be 100% convinced of that but at least the confirmation has restored some of my faith in these bars (from a riding perspective) ...but i doubt i'll ever buy a carbon ritchey product again, ive hardly been blown away by the quality of these handlebars
